Forough Yavari presented a full day fine art portraiture workshop hosted by AIPP Queensland at TAFE Mt Gravatt Campus.
Here are her some of her thoughts from the day:
“It was such an amazing experience for myself, going through my past few years of works and documenting the process and steps I take to create my images. And sharing with fellow photographers and students.
I have to confess I wasn’t expecting that crowd and it gave me a small heart attack when I saw 43 chairs in the studio, it made my scene look very small!
I’d prepared a theatrical scene with six models to create a fine art portrait.
It was my first experience shooting with this number of models at the same time and with six lights. At the end we ended up adding four more volunteers to the scene!” Forough said.
“I enjoyed every single second of the day and received such great feedback, but the highlight was hearing from students that this encouraged them to start to think, write, and sketch their ideas.
Thanks to everyone who attended this workshop and looking forward to seeing you all again!
To Alex Huang for taking these images and finally to my amazing team Justin Fox, Matilda Rodgers, Aliandra Calabrese, Jim Jirarnuttaruj, Maz-Ch Mozhgan, and Conny Rodgers. And my wonderful husband and problem solver, Afshin, who is always with me and supports me in all my projects,” said Forough.
