2020 has been a difficult start for many Australians, including quite a few from within our own membership and the wider community. First the fires and now the floods!
For our members affected by these disasters, please contact us to see if we can help.
The changes to the membership categories, launched on the 1st of January, are showing some very positive and pleasing trends.
We’ve seen an increase in our membership base of over 70 new members across all categories which is part of our strategy to engage the wider photographic and video communities.
With growth in membership we will be able to better serve our AIPP community. We’ve lowered pricing for AIPP members and will be actively focused on increasing the value you receive for your membership this year including more online events accessible around Australia.
Plans are well underway for our state awards, with APPA details to follow. The state awards provide you an opportunity to explore your creative abilities with a view to presenting your best work at APPA.
Board member, Felisha, has been using her expertise to analyse what is happening across our blog and social media platforms and bringing a fresh voice that’s being shared through these platforms.
The upside of this is we’ve noticed an increase in how this is being received.
The key highlights through this are:
- new AIPP branding signed, sealed and delivered!
- A noticeable increase in focus, awareness and interest towards the AIPP video sector through our communications, language and input from councils; and
- the presence of our video producers own content being presented.
With the upcoming Board meeting in Canberra mid-February, we’ll consolidate the path for the year ahead through our initiatives around strategy, business planning and governance.
The results will see the membership continuing to grow and in turn will enable AIPP members to benefit from a wider range of services. These plans will be combined with all other initiatives currently underway with our focus on three key benefits being:
Our regional and remote members will see the introduction of a new fee structure designed around specific location parameters.
Full details to be provided in the coming weeks once all details have been finalised.
We’re feeling a great vibe across our community! We’ve all but completed the kick-off meetings with our councils and have been in discussions with some of our committees. The energy coming from all these groups is nothing but fantastic!
