Earlier this month, the Shimmer Festival of Photography celebrated its tenth year of shining a light on photography south of Adelaide.

The festival celebrates the creative power of photography as one of the most prolific and celebrated story-telling mediums… and we’re not going to argue with that!

With exhibits nestled throughout the stunning McLaren Vale Wine Region and at Port Noarlunga the festival provided the perfect combination of art and scenery.

The festival kicked off with a forum featuring a number of exhibiting photographers talking about their work.  It was a great afternoon, MC’d by Atkins Lab Managing Director Paul Atkins

Organised each year by the City of Onkaparinga, Shimmer Festival of Photography demonstrates an ongoing commitment to generating supportive and longstanding foundations to sustain the arts, wine and hospitality industries of the region, and to bring to the wider community a vast array of creative experiences.
