Drone Training – QLD
The opportunity has arisen for some Queensland Government supported drone training for residents of Queensland. This training can enable you to gain your CASA RePL (Remote pilots licence) and AVI30419 Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) for $250.00. This course is heavily subsidised by the Queensland Government to encourage people to upskill during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A living document package of best practice protocol for safely operating film and television sound services in the COVID-19 era. Australian sound recordist, Mark Edwards, is curating the information package on a publicly available Dropbox folder to help mitigate cross infection between talent and crew.
Don Burrows – A Tribute
Australian jazz legend and keen photographer, Don Burrows, passed away on March 12th, 2020. David Simmonds pays written and pictorial tribute here. “Don was a gentle giant of a man, a musician of great depth and versatility, a jazz legend in his own lifetime. For us all, a living treasure…Of all the famous and talented people I’ve had the privilege to photographed over my career, Don Burrows is closest to my heart.”
